When viewing these SUS, bear in mind that there are 10% fewer days in February than in most other months:

Here's the SUS for January. I'm only going to list the current month plus three months back, because if I try to put more in, the table gets overly crowded. As always, web crawling robots and other spiders have been filtered out of the results presented here by our site host; this should reflect only actual people visiting the site.
It looks like visits have stabilized between December and January. I'm really happy with the traffic to the website - back in my CMU days I didn't get nearly this many hits, and that page was even tied into a major university. A big thanks to our readers!

I am switching over to a new statistics aggregator, one that will give somewhat more accurate results. It automatically filters out robots, spiders, etc., so that the statistics it gives are more useful (it should include only actual people that have viewed the page). Because the old statistics included robots, they can't be readily compared to this month's stats. For that reason I am including the correct, filtered statistics for the past few months, as provided by this new aggregator.
These are the stats as of 11/29/06 (I will update with the 11/30 stats when I get back from New York):
| Statistic | November | October | September |
| Total Visits | 1999 | 759 | 585 |

We nearly doubled our number of visits from September to October, and saw our unique visitors increase by 55%! We did that while serving fewer files, which I attribute to our traffic switching from checking out the main page to reading the blog more regularly. The October stats:

From Rick and myself, thanks again for reading, and we hope you keep coming back as we continue to add more content. One of these days, Rick may even put up a web page for the domain that he half owns. Or maybe he'll post to his blog in October. Ooh, the anticipation is killing me!
Double Singularity contains the blog for Matt Fagan and Rick Smith. We primarily cover topics of history, science, and philosophy, with some personal events thrown in for good measure.
